Meeting the moment.

By the end of 2026, our goal is to deliver $200,000 in direct micro-grants to 30-40 organizations across multiple humanitarian emergencies, both domestically in the US and in select global contexts. Keeping essential services alive while strengthening feminist movement resilience, through trusted funding support.

Our Approach to Funding

To close the devastating funding gap, we provide rapid, flexible, and unrestricted funding through participatory grant-making models co-created with feminist humanitarian networks and their organizations. We pre-vet organizations and do the legwork so that donors can confidently respond to crises and know their precious donor dollars are reaching the most effective and essential frontline responders.

We know that women’s rights are under attack everywhere, today’s backlash is global – and so must be our defense. Investing in grassroots women’s organizations worldwide is one of the most strategic, high-impact ways a U.S. donor can protect and advance the very rights we care about at home.

That is why, we directly resource grassroots women-led organizations through:

  • Unrestricted flexible grants

  • Low-barrier application processes

  • Rapid disbursements in crisis contexts

  • Deep partnerships with feminist movements

In its pilot phase, the Fund is focused on developing an inclusive governance model and a participatory grant-making process that will set the foundation for sustainable and long-term impact. The growth will be measured and reflexive. Guided by an Advisory Board of diverse leaders and in partnership with networks of women’s rights organizations, La Soeur Fund is positioned as both a funding body and a learning space – one that documents, shares, and refines approaches to equitable resourcing.
